The script is deeply struck into the silver flan, producing high-relief lettering with a characteristic Safavid aesthetic. A dotted border separates the outer marginal legend from the inner field. The overall design reflects the pronounced Shi'a devotional character of early Safavid coinage under Shah Isma'il I. |
