Reverse description Central type features a representation of the Cerro de la Bufa, the iconic hill overlooking Zacatecas, shown as a rocky peak with a small cross or finial at its summit, set within a plain field. Below the mountain the assayer initials L.V.O. appear prominently. The design is encircled by a decorative inner border of alternating pellets and small rosettes. The outer peripheral legend reads MONEDA PROVISIONAL DE ZACATECAS, explicitly identifying this as emergency provisional coinage issued by the royalist administration of Zacatecas during the Mexican War of Independence.
