Mô tả mặt trước	Central field features a crowned eagle perched upon a cactus, facing right, in the style of the Mexican Empire coinage. The assayer's initials appear to the left of the eagle, with the denomination numeral and 'R' to the right. The design closely follows the provisional coinage type of the First Mexican Empire, adapted for Honduran provincial use.

The Tegucigalpa mint, operating with limited technical resources, produced coinage of notably inconsistent quality during this transitional period. KM#12 is among the earliest issues attributable specifically to Honduran authority rather than colonial or Mexican imperial administration.
