| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a three-line Arabic inscription across the central field, indicating the mint of issue and the Hijri date. A small star is visible to the upper left within the field. The die number appears above the main legend in the upper portion of the coin. The inscription reads 'Struck in Omdurman 1311' with a die number, referencing the Omdurman Mint and the AH year corresponding to 1893–1894 CE. A beaded or toothed border frames the entire reverse, consistent with the obverse treatment. |

The Mahdist State's coinage was produced at the Omdurman mint under conditions of chronic material shortage, which accounts for the debased billon alloy found across most issues of the period. By 1894, the state was entering its terminal decade — Anglo-Egyptian reconquest forces under Kitchener would destroy Omdurman four years later at the Battle of Karari. The KM#9.2 variety is distinguished from KM#9.1 by the presence of stars in the field, a detail that reflects local die-cutting practice rather than any centralized design directive.
