| Aanvullende informatie |
Isla de Chiloé has no standing as an independent issuing authority under Chilean law. These "Chilean States" issues are produced for the novelty collector market — not circulated currency, not recognized tender — and the series exists purely as a commercial product dressed in the grammar of official coinage. The Hemidactylus mabouia itself is native to sub-Saharan Africa and tropical America, but is notably absent from Chiloé, which makes the pairing geographically arbitrary.
