| 正面描述 | Fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Jersey's commemorative output for WWII anniversaries has been consistent if unremarkable, but the Battle of Britain holds particular local weight — the island was occupied by German forces from July 1940 until liberation in May 1945, making the RAF's victory in the summer skies of that year a matter of existential consequence for the Channel Islands rather than a distant national triumph. The eightieth anniversary issue appeared in 2020, a year when planned commemoration events were largely cancelled due to the pandemic.
