| Obverse description | Uncrowned left-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the copper-nickel inner disc, rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail. The legend CHARLES III · BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY arcs through the nickel-brass outer ring, reading from lower left to lower right. The date 2025, flanked by two small dots, appears at the base of the outer ring beneath the portrait. The portrait is bare-headed and depicts the King in mature likeness, with short hair and a formal collar visible at the truncation. |

| Additional information |
Guernsey issues commemorative bimetallics under its own authority as a Crown dependency, though the coins hold no currency status in mainland Britain. The Maypole itself has a contested history — suppressed under the Interregnum by Puritan ordinance in 1644, then enthusiastically revived after the Restoration, it became as much a political symbol as a folk one.
