| Beschrijving voorzijde | An outer pearl border follows the octagonal coin shape, enclosing a circular inner pearl border within which the large numeral '2' appears prominently in the center field. The issuer's name 'C. BEHRENS' arcs along the upper portion of the legend between the two borders, while 'ALFELD' reads along the lower arc, with small star stops separating the inscriptions. The overall design is stark and utilitarian, characteristic of German Notgeld emergency coinage of the early twentieth century. |
