| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in a sepia-brown intaglio scheme and carries a wide allegorical composition across the full width of the note. At centre, a standing classical figure of Mercury, identifiable by his caduceus and winged helmet, exchanges goods with a seated female allegory of Abundance accompanied by a globe; a group of putti with grape clusters and harvest attributes occupies the left arch, while a second group with a sailing vessel appears in the right arch. The Argentine national arms are engraved at the top centre, and denomination numerals 2 appear in plain circles at both outer corners. |
