| Description de l’avers | The upper left corner bears a small vignette of the coat of arms of the Spanish Republic, set within a ruled box. The issuing authority title is printed in bold letterpress across the upper portion of the note, with Series A designation and a handwritten serial number to the right. The central field carries the bearer clause and denomination in large bold type, with the place and handwritten date line below; two manuscript signatures appear at the foot beneath the printed roles of El Presidente and El Secretario, and a circular official ink stamp of the Consejo Municipal de Rubielos de Mora is applied across the centre. Rubielos de Mora is a small hill town in Teruel province — deep in Republican-held Aragon during the Civil War, and cut off from the banking infrastructure that had collapsed along with central authority. Hundreds of Spanish municipalities issued their own emergency paper in 1936–37, but Teruel province examples are among the scarcest, partly because the front passed through the region with particular violence during the Teruel offensive of late 1937 and early 1938, destroying local records and much of the circulating stock.
The official stamp substitutes for virtually every other security measure. Locally printed, hand-stamped, and valid only within the town's immediate economy.
