| 备注 |
Cubells is a small municipality in the Noguera comarca of Lleida, and like hundreds of Catalan and Aragonese towns during the Civil War, it issued its own fractional paper currency after the Republican government's decree of late 1936 effectively authorized local emergency emissions to address the near-total disappearance of metallic coin from circulation. The Imprenta Unió Obrera in Balaguer — a workers' collective print shop operating under CNT-FAI control during this period — produced notes for several surrounding municipalities, which accounts for the family resemblance across a number of Noguera comarca issues.
Survival rates for these hyper-local wartime emissions are unpredictable. Cubells had a population of only a few hundred, meaning total print runs were small and redemption after 1939 was neither guaranteed nor universally pursued.
