A border of raised pellets or beaded inner ring encircles the inscribed field. The lettering is boldly raised and rendered in the characteristic calligraphic style of early nineteenth-century Devanagari die-cutting. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with the hammered technique employed at the local state mint. |
