| Beschrijving voorzijde | At center, the sacred footprints (Vishnu-pada) of the deity appear above a pair of crossed kukri daggers, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Devanagari legend naming King Tribhuvan Veer Vikram Shahdev surrounds the central device along the periphery, with the Vikrama Samvat date inscribed in Devanagari numerals below the central motif. The overall design reflects the traditional Nepalese theocratic iconography characteristic of the Shah dynasty coinage of the early twentieth century. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Nepal's copper coinage under Tribhuvan was produced at a time when the Rana prime ministers held the actual levers of power — the king reigned in name while the Rana oligarchy governed absolutely. Tribhuvan's eventual break from this arrangement in 1950, when he sought asylum in the Indian embassy and flew to Delhi, effectively ended over a century of Rana dominance. These coins predate that rupture entirely, struck when his authority was largely ceremonial.
KM#709 was minted across nearly a decade with minimal variation between dates, making year-specific attribution dependent on close die examination rather than any deliberate design change.
