Reverse description The reverse displays two Chinese characters arranged vertically around the central square hole. The character 戸 (Ho), denoting the Treasury Department (Hojo), appears above the hole as the mint mark, identifying the issuing authority. Below the hole is the character 天 (Ch'on, meaning Heaven), which serves as the series or batch identifier within the Joseon minting system. The field is otherwise plain, consistent with standard Sangpyeong Tongbo reverse conventions, and the casting surface exhibits the typical granular texture of mid-18th century Korean bronze cash coinage.
