The "Hun" (訓) designation on this issue identifies it as struck under the authority of the Hullyeondogam, the Military Training Command in Seoul — one of several competing government bureaus granted minting rights during the Joseon dynasty's chaotic expansion of cash coin production in the 1740s. Multiple offices minting simultaneously, each with their own furnaces and alloy sources, is precisely why brass composition and casting quality vary so dramatically within this type.
