Descrizione del dritto	The obverse presents four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform fashion around a central square perforation. Reading clockwise from the top, the characters 常平通寶 (Sangpyeong Tongbo) identify this coin as currency issued under the Sangpyeong (Ever-Normal) monetary system of the Joseon Dynasty. The characters are rendered in standard regular script (kaishu), cast in relief against a flat field. A raised rim encircles the design, and the square central hole is flanked by the characters 常 (top) and 平 (bottom) on the vertical axis, with 通 (right) and 寶 (left) on the horizontal axis.
