| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold Latin cross occupies the central field, its arms extending nearly to the inner circle, dividing the field into four quadrants. A fleur-de-lis appears in the second (upper left) quadrant and a rampant lion in the third (lower right) quadrant, both emblems closely associated with Burgundian and Flemish heraldic tradition. The cross and accompanying charges are enclosed within a plain inner circle, beyond which a Gothic circular legend reads around the full circumference. The struck surface shows the characteristic flat relief and irregular outline of a hammered billon mijt produced at a Flemish mint during the reign of Philip the Good. |
