Reverse description Central device consists of a short-footed cross with the initial letter A placed at its center, all enclosed within a curved double border typical of late medieval Netherlandish mites. The arms of the cross extend toward but do not reach the inner border, giving it a compact, footed appearance. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs along the periphery, separated from the central cross by a plain ring. The design is characteristic of the anonymous-style reverse types employed on feudal mites of the lower Meuse lordships in the late fifteenth century.
