| Obverse description | Printed in black intaglio over a polychrome lithographic underprint, the obverse carries an oval portrait vignette at right of Prudente José de Morais Barros, third President of the Republic (1894–1898). The denomination numeral 2 appears in panels flanking the medallion on both sides. Inscriptions around the vignette identify the issuing authority and cite Law No. 4635-A of 8 January 1923 as the legal basis for issue. |
