| Obverse description | Printed in red on pink paper with an all-over guilloche underprint of repeated crossed-hammer mining symbols across the entire field. The issuer's name in Gothic blackletter script arches across the upper portion, while the denomination 'Zwei Mark' is set in large bold type within a central oval guilloche vignette; a serial number with prefix letter 'A' appears in the upper right corner. Lower text references approval by the Royal Prussian Ministry of Trade, the validity date of 31 January 1919, and a clause stating that the obligation of redemption lapses upon expiry of that term. |
