Central device consisting of an ornate cartouche or shield bearing a plain cross, the arms of the city of Reval, set within a beaded inner circle with decorative scrollwork flanking the shield. The date, rendered in the abbreviated form with the first two digits omitted (6Z for 1562), appears within or immediately adjacent to the legend. A continuous Latin legend encircles the central device between the beaded and outer rims, identifying the coin as a new coinage of Reval. |
