| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by the crowned royal cipher of Christian V, comprising an interlaced 'C5' monogram surmounted by a royal crown with jewelled arches and orb finial. The date 1681 is divided by the monogram, with '16' to the left and '81' to the right. The mintmaster's initials 'P·E·I' appear in the lower field, attributable to mint official Peter Erichsen. The design is set within a plain field with a milled border, in the restrained baroque style characteristic of late seventeenth-century Danish coinage. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device depicts the rampant Norwegian lion passant guardant, shown in profile facing left and brandishing a battle-axe, derived from the Royal Arms of Norway. The lion is surmounted by a royal crown and enclosed within a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base. Below the wreath, the denomination inscription '2 MD' (2 Mark Danish) appears in the exergue. The composition is bold and well-centred, with fine relief detail on the lion's body and the individual laurel leaves, consistent with the high-quality milled coinage produced at the Copenhagen Mint under Christian V. |
