Below the shield, a text panel in letterpress carries the redemption clause and the issuance declaration in Gothic script, noting the note was issued on the occasion of Goslar's millennium celebration on 2 July 1922 by the Stadtverwaltung. The designer credit 'ENTW: RUDOLF FRICKE' and printer credit 'DRUCK: LATTMANN, GOSLAR' appear in the lower margin. |

Goslar's 1922 Notgeld series was among the more deliberately collectible emissions of the German municipal currency period — towns competed openly for philatelic buyers, and the Lattmann print shop, based in Goslar itself, produced work that reflected local pride rather than emergency necessity. By 1922 the genuine payment crisis that had originally justified municipal paper had largely given way to a cottage industry, with many issues designed and printed speculatively for sale to collectors rather than for wage packets or market stalls.
Rudolf Fricke's involvement ties this to a recognizable strand of Harz-region graphic design from the period. Lattmann's local production kept distribution costs low and turnaround fast.
