Obverse description The obverse is printed in orange, black, and red with a bold decorative border. At centre, a large orange heraldic shield bears a black spread eagle, the arms of Goslar, flanked on either side by large red numeral '2' denominators above the Gothic-script legend 'Mark Mark'. Below the shield, a text panel in letterpress carries the redemption clause and the issuance declaration in Gothic script, noting the note was issued on the occasion of Goslar's millennium celebration on 2 July 1922 by the Stadtverwaltung. Reverse description The reverse is executed in blue, green, and black against a vertically hatched background. At centre, a large stylised numeral '2' in blue and green occupies the upper field, flanked by two figures in traditional regional dress: a Harz woman (Harzfrau) in layered blue cape and black dress to the left, and a miner (Bergmann) in working attire to the right. A lower blue panel carries the medieval Low German inscription in Gothic script. The designer and printer credits appear in the lower margin, with the legend 'Harzfrau IV Bergmann' printed in red script at the bottom edge.
