At the top, a rectangular panel carries the serial number in large bold Gothic type preceded by 'Gutschein Nr.' A text panel at the foot contains the redemption clause in Fraktur script, followed by a manuscript signature and the title 'Bürgermeister'. |

A bold Fraktur heading across the top reads the full issuing authority, while a lower text panel reproduces a quotation attributed to Friedrich Hebbel, dated Wien, 15. September 1852. |
