| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse carries a large oval colour vignette of the Schleswig townscape viewed across the Schlei fjord, with the tall red spire of the Dom St. Petri rising at centre and sailing boats on the blue water in the foreground, rendered in a bold lithographic style. A circular inscription running around the inner border of the vignette bears a patriotic wartime verse. Above the vignette, the heading 'KRIEGSNOTGELD · DER · STADT · SCHLESWIG ·' is set in the same decorative lettering as the obverse, flanked by the denomination '2 MARK' at each upper corner. A two-line validity notice occupies the lower margin. |
