| Obverse description | Crowned royal cypher of Duke August Wilhelm of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, formed by two interlaced 'A' and 'W' initials beneath a ducal crown, centrally positioned in the field. The circular Latin legend reads D·G·DUX·BRUNSVIC·ET·LUNEBURG, running along the periphery. Mint initials F·P·H appear at the base of the design, flanking the cypher. The overall style is characteristic of early eighteenth-century German milled silver coinage. |

| Reverse description | The rampant Brunswick horse, facing left in a spirited leaping pose, stands above a ground line in the central field — the heraldic symbol of the House of Brunswick-Lüneburg. The upper legend PARTA TVERI arcs above the horse. Below the ground line, a divided inscription reads FEIN SILB. flanking a central cartouche bearing the denomination 2 MG, with the date split to either side as 17 and 28 (or the relevant year for the particular issue). |
