Bulgaria assumed the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first time in January 2018 — the commemoration landing exactly a decade after the country's 2007 accession. The six-month presidency was a significant administrative undertaking for a relatively new member state, and the Bulgarian National Bank issued this piece to mark it.
