Beschrijving voorzijde	Central field bears the royal arms of Greece: a quartered shield displaying a Greek cross, set within a decorative escutcheon with a pointed base. The shield is surmounted by a large royal crown with arched bands and orb finial. The circular legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ (Kingdom of Greece) runs along the upper periphery in Greek characters, flanking the crown on either side.

Aanvullende informatie	Greece's earliest copper coinage was struck in Paris under a monetary framework imposed largely by the protecting powers — Britain, France, and Russia — whose oversight of the fledgling kingdom extended well into its fiscal policy. The 1847–1849 dates correspond to production during the reign of Otto, the Bavarian-born king whose reign ended in forced abdication in 1862. Parisian manufacture was a practical necessity; domestic minting infrastructure remained inadequate for sustained copper production throughout this period.
