| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse field bears the name and titles of Sultan Muhammad Imaaduddeen Iskander rendered in bold, flowing Arabic calligraphy arranged in three horizontal lines across the flan. The inscription fills the entire field and is executed in a confident Naskh-influenced hand characteristic of Maldivian coinage of the period. The rim is dressed with a series of fine radiating denticles forming a toothed border around the circumference. There is no central device or decorative motif; the composition relies entirely on the calligraphic text as its primary design element. |
