| 背面描述 | The reverse features the large numeral '2' prominently displayed in the center of the field, denoting the face value. Beneath the numeral, the denomination KUNE is inscribed, followed by the mint year 1941, all in Latin script. The entire design is encircled by a traditional Croatian interlace border of braided Christian ornamentation, characteristic of medieval Croatian decorative art as interpreted by Ivo Kerdić. The field is otherwise plain, lending a clean, austere appearance consistent with wartime zinc coinage. |

Issued by the Ustaše-controlled Independent State of Croatia (NDH), a puppet regime installed by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy following the April 1941 invasion and dismemberment of Yugoslavia. The NDH minted this zinc coinage almost immediately after proclamation — a deliberate act of administrative legitimacy as much as economic necessity. Zinc was imposed by material reality; wartime aluminum and nickel allocations were controlled by Berlin, leaving occupied and allied states with whatever base metals remained available.
The NDH collapsed in May 1945. Circulation of this issue was accordingly brief.
