The shield is set in the central field with no additional ornament. The peripheral legend, in Latin majuscules, reads BEATVS · D · G · EPISCOP · CVRIEN, identifying Bishop Beatus a Porto as issuer, and runs between the beaded inner circle and the toothed outer border. |
