Aanvullende informatie

Fujian Province issued this coin to commemorate the Northern Expedition, the Kuomintang military campaign launched under Chiang Kai-shek to unify China against the northern warlords. The province had come under Nationalist control in late 1926, and the issue functioned partly as a political declaration — a freshly minted assertion of KMT authority over a region that had changed hands violently and recently.

The timing places it squarely within one of the most turbulent years of the campaign: 1927 also brought the Shanghai Massacre in April, when Chiang turned on his Communist allies and fractured the revolutionary coalition entirely.
