To the left of the gate, stylized child-like stick figures rendered in a naive artistic style are depicted entering, evoking the joy of a children's visit. Flanking and surmounting the gate are various animals in relief, including monkeys, meerkats, a pelican, and a cockatoo perched atop the pillars, while to the right a giraffe, a moose, an ostrich, and a kangaroo with joey are depicted in high relief.
