| Obverse description | The obverse features a lively composition centered on the arched entrance gate of a zoo, inscribed with the Cyrillic legend ЗООПАРК across the arch. To the left of the gate, stylized child-like stick figures rendered in a naive artistic style are depicted entering, evoking the joy of a children's visit. Flanking and surmounting the gate are various animals in relief, including monkeys, meerkats, a pelican, and a cockatoo perched atop the pillars, while to the right a giraffe, a moose, an ostrich, and a kangaroo with joey are depicted in high relief. The small trident coat of arms of Ukraine appears in the upper left field, with the legend УКРАЇНА arching above, and the denomination 2 ГРИВНІ and the date 2015 are inscribed in the lower field, accompanied by the mint mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Banknote Printing and Minting Works. |
