Flanking the portrait, a semicircular bilingual legend in Ukrainian (left) and Georgian Mkhedruli script (right) reads ДАВИД ГУРАМІШВІЛІ. Below the portrait, the dates 1705 / 1792 denote his birth and death years. The overall composition combines realistic portraiture with a conventionalised decorative landscape, rendered in low relief. |
