Obverse description The upper half of the note carries a letterpress vignette of a rural landscape with rolling hills, farm buildings, and tall poplar trees rendered in a woodcut style. The lower half presents bold decorative typography arranged in an interlocking composition, with the denomination numeral '2' enclosed within a laurel wreath medallion dated '1918' at centre, flanked by the syllables 'HEL' and 'LER'. A braided rope border frames the entire design.

Reverse description The reverse is set within an Art Nouveau-style border of intertwined foliate scrollwork. The heading 'GUTSCHEIN' appears in large Gothic script above 'der Gemeinde NAARN' in bold display lettering, followed by a block of German text stating the issue conditions, the redemption date of 31 December 1920, and the place and date of issue. A faint watermark-like underprint of an eagle or decorative motif is visible in the centre field. The printed signature of the Bürgermeister and the note's total print run are stated at foot.
