The bank title "BANQUE DE LA RÉPUBLIQUE D'HAÏTI" runs across the top in bold letterpress, with the denomination "DEUX GOURDES" in a decorative cartouche below the central vignette. Three signature lines for Le Gouverneur, Le Gouverneur Adjoint, and Le Directeur Général appear at the foot of the note, above the printer's imprint.

Interlaced "G" monogram vignettes in elaborate guilloche occupy the left and right fields, all printed in dark blue-black intaglio.
