Descrizione del dritto	The obverse is dominated by a large central guilloche oval bearing the numeral 2 in intaglio, flanked by a right-side vignette of a banana tree within an oval frame. The header reads BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI in bold letterpress, with DEUX GOURDES inscribed on a panel above the central oval. Three manuscript signatures of bank officials appear along the lower margin, above the imprint of the American Bank Note Company.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse presents a central text block in French surrounded by an elaborate guilloche border. To the left, an oval vignette contains a finely engraved coffee bush, while to the right an ornate monogram medallion is set within a matching oval frame. The denomination DEUX GOURDES appears in a cartouche at the foot of the note, with the bank title BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI arching across the top.
