Obverse description	The obverse is dominated by a large central guilloche oval bearing the numeral 2 in intaglio, flanked by a right-side vignette of a banana tree within an oval frame. The header reads BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI in bold letterpress, with DEUX GOURDES inscribed on a panel above the central oval. Three manuscript signatures of bank officials appear along the lower margin, above the imprint of the American Bank Note Company.

Reverse description	The reverse presents a central text block in French surrounded by an elaborate guilloche border. To the left, an oval vignette contains a finely engraved coffee bush, while to the right an ornate monogram medallion is set within a matching oval frame. The denomination DEUX GOURDES appears in a cartouche at the foot of the note, with the bank title BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI arching across the top.
