Reverse description Central ornamental cross composed of four fleur-de-lis-shaped arms radiating from a small square shield bearing the mint mark letter B, the whole cross set within a lightly decorated cruciform frame with small quatrefoil ornaments between the arms. Four pellet rosettes fill the angles between the cross arms, giving the design a symmetrical and decorative quality characteristic of southern Netherlands gold coinage of the period. The surrounding legend, divided by the date 1613, reads SVPREMVS DVX BVILLONIENSIS, proclaiming Ferdinand's title as Supreme Duke of Bouillon. A beaded border encloses the entire reverse design.
