| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic inscription filling the field, reading 'Al-Sultan al-A'zam Ghiyath al-Dunya wa'l-Din', proclaiming the sultan's grandiose titulature as 'The Supreme Sultan, Succour of the World and of the Faith'. The legend is arranged in horizontal lines across the flat field without a border, in the bold, angular Naskh style characteristic of Delhi Sultanate billon issues. The flan is irregular with typical hammered fabric, and the die is slightly off-centre, as is common for this denomination and period. |
