| Obverse description | Cream paper bon de nécessité with a fine guilloche border running the full perimeter. The issuer name 'Fresnoy-le-Grand' is printed in large bold type across the upper section, flanked on each side by the denomination '2 fr.' in boxed panels; below, the authority 'Bon des Régions de Saint-Quentin & de Guise' and the emission clause appear in letterpress. The large central legend 'DEUX FRANCS' dominates the middle of the note, above a redemption text, the emission date of 8 August 1916, a serial number, and three manuscript signatures beneath the line 'Le Président et deux Membres de la Commission', with a circular communal violet stamp at lower left and the printer's imprint at lower right. |

A large overprinted '2' in orange-brown ink is visible at centre, serving as a denomination underprint security mark. |
