| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in red on watermarked paper, the obverse carries the title inscription on a ribbon banner across the top and a central oval cartouche enclosing the denomination numeral '2' above the word 'FRANCS', flanked by anchor-and-rope ornaments. The lower half is occupied by a detailed harbour vignette of Dieppe showing a steam packet vessel underway with the town's seafront buildings in the background, while the municipal coat of arms of Dieppe on a decorative shield appears at the bottom centre, with two cursive facsimile signatures placed left and right of the central cartouche beneath their respective title designations. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in red on watermarked paper, the reverse presents a large harbour scene vignette occupying the upper two-thirds of the note, showing steam cargo vessels moored at the quayside with cranes and billowing smoke in a busy port setting. The four corners each carry the numeral '2' within ornamental scroll cartouches. The lower portion contains a rectangular decorative panel with the emission year on a ribbon above a two-paragraph legal text in cursive script relating to the conditions of redemption through the Banque de France. |
