| Obverse description | Printed in red on watermarked paper, the obverse carries the title inscription on a ribbon banner across the top and a central oval cartouche enclosing the denomination numeral '2' above the word 'FRANCS', flanked by anchor-and-rope ornaments. The lower half is occupied by a detailed harbour vignette of Dieppe showing a steam packet vessel underway with the town's seafront buildings in the background, while the municipal coat of arms of Dieppe on a decorative shield appears at the bottom centre, with two cursive facsimile signatures placed left and right of the central cartouche beneath their respective title designations. |
