| Obverse description | Blue-tinted note with a fine guilloche underprint throughout. At centre top, a banner carries the issuer's title above the arms of Angoulême — a shield flanked by two supporters and bearing the motto FORTITUDO MEA CIVIUM FIDES — rendered in intaglio style. The denomination DEUX FRANCS appears in a bold central panel, below which two manuscript signatures of the Trésorier and the Président are printed, accompanied by a circular red dry-stamp of the Chambre de Commerce d'Angoulême. Ornamental caduceus vignettes flank the design at left and right, with the series designation 6ème SÉRIE in star-shaped cartouches at each corner and the numeral 2 in circular medallions. |
