| 裏面の説明 | The large numeral '2' dominates the central field, with the denomination 'FRANCS' inscribed beneath it in bold lettering. To the left of the numeral, two stylized palm trees are depicted in relief, while to the right stands the figure of a penguin. The circular legend 'TERRES AUSTRALES ET ANTARCTIQUES FRANÇAISES' runs along the upper and lateral periphery, with the date '2024' appearing in the lower exergual area flanked by decorative stops. A small mint mark or engraver's privy mark is visible below the denomination. The design is enclosed by a beaded border. |

Tromelin Island is a French-administered territory in the Indian Ocean whose permanent population consists entirely of a rotating meteorological station crew — never more than a handful of people at any given time. It has no economy, no commerce, and no practical need for coinage. Issues attributed to it are fantasy pieces produced for the collector market, with no legal tender function recognized in any meaningful transactional sense.
