| Obverse description | The obverse features a central round perforation encircled by a raised concentric ring, itself enclosed within an open wreath of olive branches with finely detailed leaves extending from lower left to lower right. The circular legend MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG (Hungarian People's Republic) runs along the outer rim, interrupted at the base by the date of issue. The design is rendered in a plain, austere socialist style with no figurative imagery, the wreath and lettering providing the sole decorative elements in the flat field. |
