| Obverse description | Central field features a raised circular border enclosing the Arabic legend naming the ruler Mubarak Shah. The surrounding outer margin carries a secondary inscription reading 'Sultan zan balbi, Hazrat Delhi', identifying both the sovereign title and the seat of power. The legends are struck in a bold but somewhat irregular Naskh-style Arabic script, characteristic of Sayyid dynasty hammered copper coinage. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical casting texture and green patination consistent with medieval Indian copper issues. |
