2 Euros Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Andorra joined the eurozone through a Monetary Agreement with the EU that only came into force in April 2012, making it one of the last European microstates to formalize the arrangement. The country had no prior indigenous coinage tradition of its own for general circulation — coins issued under the Bishops of Urgell and the Counts of Foix were largely ceremonial. This 2018 commemorative marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948, in Paris.
